I am interested in using USB for incoming Skype calls from the iPhone. However, unlike most iOS apps that output audio, Skype doesn't seem to output through USB, but rather only through the headphone audio jack when in speaker mode. The iOS version of Skype doesn't seem to have audio out preference settings like the regular app. Has anyone experimented with Skype on the iPhone and had success outputting audio through USB? Thanks.

Hi,

Connecting a non core midi compliant midi keyboard to the iPad Pro (Nektar Panaroma P6)
I was wondering if I could hook up a Nektar Panaroma P6, which is not core midi compliant, so it wont work with regular usb, through the iconnectaudio4+ 5 din midi and get the same desired results with a midi controller. Now the Panaroma P6 has a motorized fader so Im sure that wont work. Im from the USB midi days not the 5 din midi so the ins and outs and all that is very confusing to me. Any help on how I should hook this up would be very appreciated.

Iconnect Audio and Elektron boxes
Hey all,
Just registered to ask a question. Today I bought the ic Audio for the purpose of hooking up my Analog 4, Octatrack and Rytm together with my iPad. This is in order to remove my computer from the setup. It's an Air 2 128gb for what it's worth. Now for some points.
I want the Air to be able to feed the octatrack with sounds digitally (I'm aware the audio will pass through patch cables into the Octatrack) and for the octatrack to control the iPad via the step sequencer. The Analog 4 and Rytm will be daisy chained both midi and audio into the Octatrack and that will feed into the ic Audio. This will all go out to a pair of Adam A7xs.
I'm pretty sure this will all work but would be grateful for for any pointers. I am away from my system till tomorrow and am itching to get cracking. Have been using headphone out on iPad without midi control so hopefully this product will be exactly what I am after. Have 2 weeks to decide thanks to shop guarantee.
Thanks in advance!

Win XP sp3 driver installation issue
Anyone have issues with installing the xp driver package ? I keep getting this message from the driver install app -"Please close all open hardware installation wizards before you continue!
If no wizard is currently open, the system is probably performing some installation steps in the background. Plese wait until this is finished and try again."
Tryed the install in safe mode and admin mode.

iconfig issues
hi all,
...was able to use the iCA+ today at a session for the first time... really worked well, fine recording levels, etc. and easy to use.. so, what's the issue? My client needs files in 24-bit, 48 for video, and when I make those changes in iConfig, the patch bay looks very different, and it seems impossible to make settings that don't cause a lot of phase cancellation. I'm willing to cite user error here, however I have read and watched everything on site. The immediate issue is that the iConfig software crashes constantly upon launch, and nothing fixes it except a re-install of it AND the driver. I've had to do this re-load about ten times now in one day. Then, all's well, except that it's impossible to update the firmware... my unit was delivered last week and it's still on 1.05. Assuming that maybe the other issues are related to that earlier release, I figured go ahead and update, but it just crashes the program. I'm running a newly re-installed windows 10. Any help would be appreciated... and a shout out to NickB, who've I enjoyed immensely over at Sonicstate for quite some time now.

PC is not picking up sound from mic when it's plugged in to Analog Jack 3 (works in analog jack 1)
I have a strange issue that i hope somebody can help me with. I can't get my applications (e.g. Skype) to pick up the microphone I have plugged in to the iConnectAudio4.
The iConnectAudio4 is connected to the PC via the USB1 port. I have a Shure SM7B Mic via a CloudLifter connected to the iConnectAudio4. Nothing else is plugged in to the iConnectAudio4.
On the PC, the Mic is showing as "iConnectivity_iConnectAUDIO4+_USB1" Which is set as the default recording device and all of my applications are using it.
I have tried connecting the Shure SM7B to different Analog In Jacks on the front of the iConnectAudio4 and I get different results. I have always had phantom power turned on in each port as I used them.
Connected to port 1: Sound is only produced in the left channel. Skype CAN detect sound from the mic.
Connected to port 3: Sound is produced in left and right channels. Skype CAN NOT detect sound from the mic.
I don't understand why Skype and my other applications have no problems using the mic when it;s connected to the No 1 port.
Is anybody aware of any reason why this would be happening?

Can anyone answer this ?
Hi I´m a new user and I get most things working, but after reading the manual I still have some questions that puzzles me ?
1 - Can you set the front interface buttons to default to 1-2 out ?? - At the moment it defaults to headphones - it would be much more usefull (especially with powered speakers) to be able to control the speaker volume, since I spend most of the time on speakers, and it´s mostly with powered speakers you suddenly need to turn someting 40 percent down fast...
2 - Is the IOS Iconfig interface in development?? or what happened to it ?? - Compared to the OSX version it´s almost not usable.. (Im on Ipad pro)
3 - Will the bit depth and sample rate be changed to what you set in Auria Pro or will you have to go to Iconfig and set it (having to reset and save and loose your settings) ??
4 - I do not get the Latency / Audio buffer lingo ?? A latency setting of 3 synced right back with a sync setting of 2.... What if I set sync to 1 - then I´m out of sync ?? Unless you want the user to do extensive loopback testing, this area needs to be explained in detail in the manual...
All the best
Morten :)
Ps. I do not hope the above sounds negative - it´s not meant that way :)

Any luck with iOS9?
Not so much. So bad, I've had to revert to iOS 8.4.1 on my 2 yr. old iPad Air. There's a popping sound that cycles in the background. Under iOS8, I rarely had latency or noise issues with the iConnectAudio4. WIth iOS9, I noticed it the moment I started Cubasis. The latency increases within the span of a 3 minute project. The pop sound is similar to the static heard when turning on or off. Same problem with Garageband. iCA4 doesn't like something with iOS9.
The problem does not occur when using iConnectAudio4 for apps like iTunes or Netflix. In fact, iOS 9 works fine with my older Alesis USB. Once I went back to iOS8.4.1, the noise and sync problems vanished. (Don't even ask about the reversion, it's a MPITA!)
To his credit, RJ has acknowledged the issue and they're working on a fix (I hope so!). Is anyone else using the iCA4 with iPad on iOS9? Have you discovered any workarounds? I've also heard that that iOS 9.1 beta solves certain audio issues, but have no idea what. iOS composers UNITE!

iConnectAUDIO2+ and iConnectAUDIO4+SysEx support
Hi all!
Does one of the two devices support handling of sysex messages? In my midi setup I use a Miditemp controller to select patches for my keyboards, but some of them rely on Sysex data for changing patches while others just use program-change-data?
Thanks
Jens

I can't open iConfig
Hello, since I have the iCA4+ i have encountered several problems with iConfig. When I first installed the software, I had an error message as follow: "An unexpected error occured while trying to open a MIDI port. Please restart the application ". After I disconnected my Akai midi controller from the usb hub and reinstalled everything, then iConfig seemed to work and I could update the firmware.
But after connecting Akai midi controller again, iConfig is not working anymore, and I have the same error message and can't open it even when midi controller is disconnected. When I try to open it it just freeze and I can't close it even from task manager. What I should do? I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the trick doesn't work anymore
I have Windows 7 and iPad Air

Heavy latency and pops/clicks after I leave my laptop untouched for long periods
I have about a 1 second delay with my drum kit when I leave my laptop for more than 20 minutes. I can't solve this with starting a new project, or restarting Ableton. Only a restart of my system brings it back to normal. Samples are at 64, but that doesn't matter in this situation. Playing internet audio like Spotify is popping and clicking too. Same system with a different audio interface didn't have this problem a few days ago.

Novations Launchpad app is supposed to be able to be controlled via the Launchpad to Launch samples, however i am not able to get the connection. The LP pro is sending midi signal if i load a synth app i get sound based on midi note assignment of LP pads.
Is there anyone who has connected a LP to the ios app through the ica4+ and had it work?

"There was a communication error"
I often get this error message right in the middle of working on a project. There are no changes in configuration, either in the hardware or software. It just randomly stops working. It works fine after I hit "OK", but there's no rhyme or reason to why/when this occurs.
I've also had occasional issues shutting down, where it seems to go into bootloader mode (flashing yellow lights) and I have to physically unplug the unit.
Any input?

power supply for iConnectAudio2+?
I'm considering buying an iConnectAudio2+ but am hesitant since it does not include a power supply, which I would need to use to charge my iPad while using the device.
Would it be it possible to power the interface and charge my iPad by connecting the "PC/Mac Power" port to a regular USB wall charger, such as the one that came with the iPad?

ipad mulitple outputs
Hi,
I just bought the iconnectaudio4+
One thing I was expecting to be able to do was route multiple audio outputs from my ipad. I can't see how this is done. It seems that the lightning connection from the ipad to the iconnect is just seen as a single stereo digital output.
A bit disappointed if that's the case, but hoping I am just doing something wrong.
Can anybody help me?
