Hello,

Old configuration with different usb devices connected was always there with 9.x .
Support told me it was a bug from Apple.
Does IOS 10 fix this problem now ?
I don't want to rush on IOS 10...

Is there any issue/stability improvement with ICA app and ICA4+ device with IOS 10 ?

Thanks !

Another cable failure....

I've just had my third case of iC proprietary USB cable failure. The symptom is identical to previous failures: the cable is no longer recognized at all by the iPad and/or iPhone. No cause is apparent.

I've got multiple iC devices here, so you can be assured I've done all the troubleshooting steps to diagnose the cable is indeed not functioning at all.

Given the multiple failures I've experienced, it seems logical to conclude it's not a 'bad cable' problem and is (therefore) somehow related to my gear.
If that is the case, perhaps the following are the potential causes:

1. A problem with the USB output on my iCA4+ which eventually results in cable damage

2. Cooked 'inline dongle' due to being left ON (connected to iPad and iCA4+) for extended periods.

Putting pro audio aside, I've ever had 'standard USB cable' fail in this way.
As far as I know, the only _electrical_ difference between the iC cable and a standard cable is the inline dongle on the iC cable, which is the proprietary circuitry for charging connected devices. The dongle is the part of the cable which gets hot. On that basis, it seems likely the failure lies within the inline dongle.

The problem is determining the cause.

This particular failure occurred in a circumstance which may or may not be related: I updated to iOS10 while the cable was connected to the iPad. The 2GB upgrade had auto-downloaded and was consuming too much space on the iPad so I upgraded. The upgrade went perfectly, except the iC USB cable was now dead. Other iC USB cables work fine with the upgraded iPad - the dead cable is the one that was connected during the upgrade.

As far as I recall, the previous two cable failures I've experienced did not occur during an iOS upgrade. It seems reasonable to suspect the upgrade was just a coincidence, but I guess anything's possible.

After the previous failure, I committed to NOT leaving the device ON with cable connected for extended periods, but over time I became lazy and left everything ON for extended periods because its nice to immediately make music anytime I get the urge. It also means I don't need to worry about the battery charge in my iDevices.

NOTE: all my devices are on high quality APC UPS. I don't think the problem is caused by the AC power. Also note that I've ever had a issue with other pro audio devices which are permanently ON. Among other things, I run a mastering studio which is always ON and has generally been in that state for more than a decade. This is because power is a bit like blood - it's usually better to maintain continuous flow, as most breakages occur as a result of spikes during switching ON or switching OFF.

I'll send all 3 failed cables to iC for determining the failure point and will order yet another replacement.

OBS Studio and iConnectAudio4+ and Windows 10

Having trouble to get my iConnectAudio4+ to work properly with OBS Studio. OBS Studio is a common open source software with streaming live video.

Tested in OBS Studio with my M-audio Delta 1010 and it worked pretty good. Running Windows 10. My iConnectAudio4+ is working fine in Cubase LE.

There seems to be something strange with the interaction between OBS Studio and the iConnectAudio4+ and I am hoping to find some help to get to the bottom of it.

New iCA4+ Owner: Crackling sound

Hi all, I have been interested in the iCA4+ since it was announced, and last week I finally purchased my own unit. Unfortunately, I am running into an issue where after a seemingly random amount of time (usually 5-10 minutes) a crackling sound will slowly appear and become worse until it reaches unusable levels.

I am using an ipad air 2 running 10.0.2 and in this scenario just a guitar and Tonestack 3.

I have found that the easiest way to temporarily relieve the issue is to return to the home screen then reenter the app. It's not been necessary to actually quit the app. Just leave and then go back and the the crackling is gone. It's a quick fix, but still a very annoying interruption that can also ruin a recording take.

I have not changed any settings or messed with iconfig.

I'd appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue, because aside from this problem the iCA4+ is everything I hoped it would be.

MIO 10 routing

Hi to all,
trying to understand if the MIO10 Interface suits right for my needing, so any help really appreciated. Here is the questions:
1. I wanna to use Mio 10 ethernet connection only because my Mac are both far from the midi hardware. Is it possible?, It seems so.
2. Each MIO10 got 3 ethernet session of 16 midi channels, so it seems that I can't route each midi DIN I/O (10) port to a different specific ethernet session port and I have to split each DIN I/O on a different midi channel of the session, is it true? If yes this seems a little bit more complicated, especially if I correctly understand that you can change any I/O device/port name but not the single midi channel of each port.
3. I need to use multiple (3) MIO10 interface all in Ethernet only connection? Is it fine?
4. The USB Compliaant Device should be routed to an ethernet port, assuming the n.2 restriction...

I would like to have the following config:
Interface 1: MIDI DIN 1-8 to Ethernet, it seems only 1-4 so I have to use the midi channels and not the interface port only

And so on on the others MIO10.

Hope to be successful clear...

Thanks in advance, regards, Eriberto

Distorted recording with iPad Pro/GarageBand (laptop and older iPad working fine)

Could this be a Lightning cable issue? Playback of internal instruments is fine.

The distortion is constant and severe - not just an occasional pop or click. Like I said in the subject header, recording is working fine with other devices (the older iPad uses the 30-pin connector)

Neverwinter Nights Will Be A Cinch With This Advice

Are neverwinter nights diamond the realm of children only? This is definitely not the case! There is a Neverwinter PS4 for every person and every passion, from games to improve your concentration to simulation games that set the imagination on fire. If you find gaming to be intimidating at all, you will find the information you need below.

Be aware of game ratings. Today's Neverwinter Nights aren't only made for kids, so you need to know whether or not it is family oriented. All games have their own rating, ranging from EC (which stands for Early Childhood) to AO (which stands for Adults Only). If you plan to purchase a game for another person, be sure it suits their age.

If a demo is available for a game, download it and try it out. Downloaded previews can save you from spending a lot of money on a game that you do not like all that much anyhow. Make sure you are careful when doing this. Only download from verified or trustworthy sites.

You may want to consider turning up the brightness on your television when playing Neverwinter Nights. If you are playing a game taking place in a dark environment, you will perform much better with a brighter screen. Colors blend together and make it difficult to spot your enemies, allowing them to creep up on you. You should turn up brightness to help this problem. You will be able to better spot enemies and dropped items.

Today's Neverwinter Nights are both entertaining and educational. When you are buying games for a kid, look for educational games or ones with better ratings. Consult reviews posted by parents to determine which games are appropriate for younger children and stick to those titles.

Be wary of online games. Some online gaming websites will require you to pay a fee on a monthly basis. Check out a site in depth before your kids join it. If there is money associated, call up and ask about all of the costs.

Try playing games with your children. This can help you get to know them on a deeper level. Sharing interests with your kids like this can also create great conversations. They will also benefit from having you close by to see and aid in the progression of their developmental skills.

Always take set breaks during a big gaming session. Sitting for long periods of time to play a game is unhealthy. Playing a game should remain fun and light-hearted. You need to let a medical professional know if you suspect you are becoming addicted to anything, including gaming.

Many modern online games give you two choices. First, you can earn in-game content and rewards gradually through investment of your time and work. Or, you can just flat out buy them with your real world money. Weigh the two options carefully, especially if considering a purchase. This will keep you from actually progressing in the game by earning these rewards. The flip side is that they can really save you valuable time.

Playing Neverwinter Nights is a fun activity for people of all ages, not just kids. Apply the tips from this article to help guide you through the gaming world. No matter what you want to do, there is a Neverwinter PS4 for you.

Rising To The Top: Star Wars Advice For All Skill Levels

Are you familiar with cheap swtor credits? If you answered no, you are missing out on the world of entertainment Swtor have to offer. The Star Wars industry has created a wide range of genres and there is bound to be a Star Wars out there to suit you. Keep reading so we can help you out.

There's a dedicated website that will tell you whether or not a particular game is going to run smoothly on your computer. First you download it, then this unique page runs you through some tests to see if you meet gaming requirements. If you do not know what you are doing, you can delete it!

Be mindful when it comes to online gaming. Sometimes, you may need to pay a monthly access fee. If your children want to access a site where their friends are playing, look at the site first. Figure out whether you have to invest any money and whether the game is worth the cost involved.

Get to know the content and safety settings for each gaming console in your household. Some consoles allow you to customize the security settings to match what you find to be appropriate for your family as everyone has different preferences. Sometimes you can even create individual profiles with customized settings, which allows older family members to enjoy games that aren't appropriate for the younger set.

You should let your children play on a console instead of a computer. Consoles let you control their privacy, security settings, and content since they can bypass these restrictions online. By having a console system with enabled security, privacy and content settings, you child can remain safe while playing Swtor.

Keep a cap on the total time you game in a day. There is no denying the addictive nature of gaming, and you do not want to develop a problem. Limit the time you spend playing to just a couple or three hours each day. If you decide to surpass that limit, give your hands a break every now and then.

Don't let kids play a game before you check its rating. Games that have a rating of 18+ are often very violent. Letting a kid play games rated this way isn't that great of an idea. Children who engage in playing violent Swtor may have nightmares, and the games may have an impact on their behavior.

Parents should set time limits for their children to avoid addiction. More than two hours a day can strain their eyes and interfere with other activities.

When you buy many used games, having a disc cleaner on hand is important. You never know for sure what you are getting when purchasing secondhand. A cleaning kit should help the discs to work, even if they were exceptionally dirty. However, educate yourself about all the options available. Many different kits are available, each with different features.

Try to use less cheat codes if you're playing a game that is based on skill. Too many cheat codes undermine the challenge and purpose of playing the game. Try saving cheats for sports games. These can often enhance gameplay rather than ruining it altogether.

Post ads online in order to sell your older Swtor. Avoid using places like eBay unless you have no other choice. Many times there are shipment issues on here, and then you may deal with people who don't pay. Try posting some ads on Facebook using their free marketplace app or Craigslist.

There are many different titles available, but keep in mind that some games are much better than others. This article has tons of information about all types of games. Have fun and do your best to keep developing new skills!

Windows 10 - Bad signature?

I'm trying to set up my Audio4+ with a brand new Surface Book. I am running with all of the latest Windows 10 updates, and downloaded and installed the v.34.0-1 driver version from the iConnectivity web site.

Unfortunately, Windows won't load my device because it says the digital signature cannot be verified:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

I've tried re-downloading the driver and re-installing it, but it's not working.

Any suggestions?

Any possibility of firmware update to provide Audio Pass-Thru on the USB HOST jack too ?

Hi - I'm thinking i'll have to return my iConnectMIDI4+ within its return period since I was wrongly assuming that the USB A Host Jack socket could be used to accept and rout AUDIO as well as MIDI. Was planning to use it with my HELIX. But no can do.

But since its all firmware inside - is there a possibility that in the future there can be a FW update that supports Audio Pass-Thru on the USB A HOST jack socket too ?

Hello, since I have the iCA4+ i have encountered several problems with iConfig. When I first installed the software, I had an error message as follow: "An unexpected error occured while trying to open a MIDI port. Please restart the application ". After I disconnected my Akai midi controller from the usb hub and reinstalled everything, then iConfig seemed to work and I could update the firmware.
But after connecting Akai midi controller again, iConfig is not working anymore, and I have the same error message and can't open it even when midi controller is disconnected. When I try to open it it just freeze and I can't close it even from task manager. What I should do? I tried to uninstall and reinstall but the trick doesn't work anymore

Hi,

On my ipad, I'm jamming a lot along with youtube jamtracks, using Bias fx.
I was wondering if it is possible to seperate the youtube sound from bias sound in the ac4+ Send it to different channels of the mixer and control the volumes of each with the mixer?

How do I hear the 3/4 signal in the mixer?

I need to not record the metronome in Ableton so I have the mix out to 1/2 and the cue (metronome) out to 3/4. But I can't figure out how to hear the 3/4 output.

1A port not responsive to PC or iOS Device, 2A port works - opened ticket, no response :(

I opened a ticket with support last week, but it's still open with no response so I thought I would post here. The iConnectAudio4+ is running the 1.1.0 firmware with the latest version of iConfig on Windows 10.

I have been using various iPads and iPhones on the 2A USB plug, using lightning and 30 pin cables, as well as a PC on the 1A USB plug without a problem for some time.

Recently I moved, and when setting up my PC again, I plugged it into the 2A USB plug without thinking and has worked that way without a problem. I needed an iOS audio app, so I plugged the iPhone 6 into the 1A plug and it didn't connect or charge. I swapped it out for an iPad 2 with the 30 pin cable, and it still wouldn't connect or charge.

I then plugged the iPad into the 2A USB plug and it works fine. The problem is that the 1A no longer seems to work on the PC or iOS device at all. It just says Unrecognized USB Device (Code 43) in Device Manager, and iOS devices no longer connect or charge on the 1A plug.

I tried different USB ports, both 3.0 and 2.0, on the front and back of my PC, as well as on a USB card, with the same problem. I also tried removing the driver (checking the box to remove driver in Device Manager) and forcing a legacy hardware install, navigating to the drivers under Program Files, but it still isn't recognized. I also tried resetting the iConnectAudio4+ to factory defaults, but it doesn't make a difference.

I have gone as far to reinstall Windows 10 Pro 64 on this machine and have the same symptoms, saying Unrecogized Device. I am currently using the 2A USB plug for both PC and iOS, swapping the cable when I need to, but would like to use both plugs at the same time so I can record iOS audio into Ableton. iConfig connects on both the PC and iOS device on the 2A plug, but nothing on the 1A.

Any ideas?

Very Low Audio from outs 1-4

hi,
I just got an iConnectAudio4 and the audio is very low from outputs 1-4, but not headphones.

I tried the iconfig application on os X (yosemite, older mac pro)
and also the iconfig audio app on an ipad.
both seem to crash occasionally.

I'm going directly from the analog outputs to a crown amp, then passive monitors.
tried the Usb cable connected to usb1 as well as usb2 (not host right? thats for a USB keyboard etc)

the levels in the mixer show audio is getting into the box, but its not getting out or even into Logic.

hoping this is something basic and stupid I'm missing, thanks in advance!

Adding Audio ports

On the excellent Audio4+ I have a synth connected to 3+4. I just got TWO new synths and I'm trying to work out how to connect them up.

option 1 - use mono for each
option 2 - chain one through on of the others
option 3 - connect to the computer

Is there an option 4 - any way to add additional audio ports to the iconnect using a device other than a computer or iPad? For example, can I chain upstream devices to put another set of audio ports in between the computer and iconnect that will continue to work when the computer is not connected?

When I can connect my iPad directly to the Kronos (using the Camera Connection Kit and a standard USB-Cable going into the device jack of the Kronos), the audio output of the iPad is sent over to the Kronos. Can I do the same with the ic4+ (especially the audio being passed through)?

Hello. I am new to the forum. My iConnect Audio4+ fell on stage during setup last night and the power socket broke off of the circuit board. No one was injured in the accident, but I was forced to sideline the unit during the show. Can anyone weigh in with options for getting this fixed? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help. Please text me at 414-687-4747 if need be. I will try to monitor this forum for any feedback.

Cheers,
